To be clear, I don't think Kris needs to be drafted in the 1st round to leave. A lot of deals recently in the early 2nd round have been as good as the end of the 1st round deals. If he does end up at #36, he could get a 3 year guarantee.

I have a hard time believing that a 21-year old kris would come back if he ended up 2nd round. free agent in g-league. there's no NIL to keep him in iowa city and his possible path to the nba at that age might be a tad better playing g-league.

Tyler Cook wasn't drafted, he was leaving no matter what because he knew staying another year wasn't going to improve his draft stock.

Kris has a decision to make because coming back another year could drastically improve his stock. But if he gets a guarantee from a team/situation he likes, he will go. It's not that complicated.
