Kittle seems like he’s always making the football film nerds hard.

Kittle is likely going to be the highest paid TE in NFL history next year when they re-work his contract. I'm guessing he gets something like $12m base salary per year and a $60m deal.

Kittle was just on the SVP sportscenter and a had a couple good answers, the most important was that Nebrantska is the Big Ten team he hates the most.

When linebacker Anthony Hitchens jogged off the field late in the first quarter against the Raiders, he was replaced by Ben Niemann, who has spent most of his young career on special teams. The Chiefs’ dime personnel — which included backup free safety Daniel Sorensen — proved to effective on third down, as the Raiders converted just two of their six opportunities with Niemann responsible for the middle of field. After not appearing on defense in the Chiefs’ season opener, Niemann played 15 defensive snaps against the Raiders, which was 23 percent of the unit’s snaps.

The combined production from Hitchens and Niemann last Sunday — eight tackles and few missed assignments — has coach Andy Reid optimistic the Chiefs’ linebackers can be multidimensional based on their opponents’ strengths and fresh throughout the season.

“It’s mainly to get Hitchens a blow,” Reid said of Niemann’s usage during his conference call Monday. “It was warm out there, so guys were getting tired. We tried to get everybody an opportunity to play. Ben has been working on special teams and we have a trust that he can get in there and do what we did with him.”

Love it. Not one, but two hawk names popping out of Andy Reid’s mouth in the same short discussion.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see him traded soon.

Yanda included in Bill Barnwell from ESPN's list of most underrated players this year. Heck of a write-up

Guard: Marshal Yanda, Baltimore Ravens

I wouldn't typically characterize a player as experienced and well-regarded as Yanda as underrated, but what we've seen from him this season is even better than his established level of play. If anything, it's incredible that Yanda is still playing at a high level, given that he suffered a catastrophic knee injury in his second season, changed sides to play through a torn-up shoulder in 2015, and missed 14 games in 2017 after breaking his ankle. There aren't many 35-year-olds playing football at all with that sort of injury history.

Yanda has instead elevated his game. He's the best run-blocking lineman in the league's most dominant rushing attack. He leads all guards in ESPN's pass block win rate (PBWR) statistic, with his 207-5 record in our automated analysis producing a win rate of 97.6%. He has done this without committing a single penalty through 10 games, all while playing in front of the sort of quarterback whose brilliance in extending and lengthening plays can occasionally lead to penalties in Lamar Jackson. Yanda should be a first-team All-Pro for the third time this season, and in doing so, he should start engendering serious Hall of Fame discussion.

Well over half of those who made the team are sure fire Hall of Famers. I think that is a good indication that Yanda will be in the Hall of Fame 5 years after he retires.
There aren’t many guards in the Hall. He’s an HOF-level player, but so was Alan Faneca who is struggling with ballot support.
