Fall baseball started 2 weeks ago. I assume that’s where Connor is. With today being the first day of basketball practice, I’d guess he’s with the team now.

CJ is put together as well.
Yep. This looks like the best year of weight work as a team since Fran got here. All of them look like they've put on good weight. CJ Fredrick was a fairly skinny (but skilled) kid as a HS senior. He's done good work in the weight room since.

This class is starting to feel like the 2015 “sign some meh black kids so future good black kids have black teammates” type approach

I trust Fran more than 95% of the fan base. I know that recruiting calendar changes made it a weird year, but I see this class being at best in the bottom third of the Big Ten.

Haven’t all of Fran’s classes outside of the Woody/Gesell class been bottom third of the Big Ten?

If this class plays out, Fran gets:

* A solid pg

* A ranked PF

* A ranked SF

The middle-aged guy from Worcester looks like an intriguing prospect. If nothing else he would give Fran a big strong fucker to throw underneath, which can't hurt in the Big Ten.

2015 had three guys with athleticism but no clear position and limited basketball skills. None of the current visits scheduled fit that mold.

I'm glad he's not a better recruiter, because his coaching has greatly outperformed those numbers.

I think Fran is a good recruiter actually, but he is honest and ethical in recruiting to a fault. Add in the shit show he inherited at Iowa and someone like that will never get consistently in the top half of recruiting in NCAA Basketball.

That would be a great class, but that's a rather optimistic definition of 'plays out.'

Ulis -- Foster -- Gordon = plays out

Ulis -- Old Man From Worcester = ok, maybe, wait and see.

I think the Old Man from Worcester who sounds like he's from London may be a decent fit with another post as well if he can shoot it as an article I read on TOS stated.

When you're six-nine, you can get that set shot over a whole lot of people.

An Anglo-African big man that drains ugly 3 after ugly 3 could be beautiful payback for NWs army of Slavs that have fucked with Iowa over the years.

To be fair 2013 was a 1 man class and he ended up with a 1st team All Big Ten player that led the league in scoring and 2018 had basically Wieskamp plus a guy that originally was going to join as a walk on.

2014 and 2015 were just so fucking bad and when those classes were suppose to graduate they had a losing record 1 year and the 2nd round of the tournament the next with only 1 guy from either class contributing at all.

Well if he’s not playing he’s put on some size:

Kriener looks fat. Not just skinny fat but actually fat
I like that despite being unable to get any definition in his arms after 3+ years with a college program, he can still get the pudge above his elbow.

It definitely sounds like he either is or isn’t. That’s for sure.

I'm going to call Kriener The Union Hall Drunk from here on out. He now has the body to match the haircut.

I really have no problem with Kriener shooting a few more threes. He was respectable last year and has become pretty effective off the bounce against slower big guys.

Iowa does not need more three pointer attempts by Kriener and Garza. They need those guys to be more effective with the shots they get, which is doable. Kriener was fine and Garza tailed off after a hot start
