But if Phil retired after the bowl game, they promoted Kelvin Bell to defensive coordinator and within 3 years they were giving up 35 a game, would you be against hiring a new coordinator and moving Bell back to defensive line?

Dumb. They’ve made 2 bowl games in 15 years. Fucking two. And one of them was the covid year where they went 4-2. They’re 61-117 in 15 years. 6 different coaches in 17 years. They’ve won 9+ games one time in 20 years.

They’ll immediately be more relevant than they’ve been in a long time. They’ll have more talent than they’ve had in a long time. Maybe he’ll be in over his head. I bet he’s better than 5-19 the next two years which is what they’ve been the last two.

Hard to predict because of the crazy disparity between teams in HBCU football. The best ones are definitely FCS level, but the worst ones are comparable to D2/NAIA schools.
