I have no reason to think it won't be Brian.

It's setting up too good for Kirk to restore Brian's resume and let him build some cache to make him more attractive to another team as to not completely ruin him professionally.

Something along the lines of "I let Brian be more in charge of our offensive philosophy and it really paid off." only after getting actual talent on the field.
