This is a recent board conversation with Kakert:

June:

Poster- I’ve heard that assumption may be having some turnover.

Tom- Just saw them last Monday in summer league and while they had three guys out due to minor injuries, their roster appears to be as expected.

August:

Some interesting stuff with Navon Shabazz. Think I mentioned before that he left Meanstreets and went to play for Iowa United in July. Things have kind of changed with his Davenport Assumption team with a key player leaving to transfer to Muscatine where his mom lives. So, Iowa United is starting a prep school and Navon is going to go there for high school. Iowa still in great shape with Navon

I don’t know if it’s the person or the job, but Kakert will never ever admit that someone knew something before he did. Even his podcast is brutal. Randazzo can barely say anything interesting without Kakert cutting him off to beat him to the punch. Eickholt is a bit like this, too. Someone else drops news and Eickholt is quick to say, “had been hearing this”.

I know it’s a competitive industry but geesh that would be an exhausting way to live your life.

I just found it hilarious that random suburban dsm dipshit knew that iowa’s #1 target was transferring 2 months before the guy that lives in the kids hometown and is paid to cover recruiting.

this was told to me by a guy who is a big enough insider that wade would claim to be buddies with him. Granted, this was also right before he told me we were down to two OC candidates, neither of which were lester. :)
I think it's safe to say that both said, "no."

I'm not sure if I posted it but I heard that this summer and also that Phil Parker was offered a shit ton of money by MSU, and that both ultimately signed for less than they were offered by those two schools. I think the number for Phil was 2.5
MSU or LSU? I thought he had one of the big three SEC schools throw a huge offer at him and seem to recall it was LSU.

I also thought it was USC, which explained Kirk bringing them up seemingly at random when asked about his OC.

I don’t think LSU would want two carpetbaggers in such crucial coaching positions. Phil doesn’t have a huge SEC recruiting experience does he?

That’s not really how they recruit exactly

I don't think even LSU gets a shit about carpetbaggers and regionalism anymore. They moved on from Orgeron pretty easily.
Kelly probably has enough creole for all!

Let’s be real. Phil could call any HC in the country, ask for their DC job, and get it.

So according to the latest correspondence from Iowa Athletics, we will now have the option of "rounding up" our concession totals to give to the SWARM....

I'm assuming this will be pre-tip ask....

Those .32 cents per every 10th or 20th transaction should really make a difference!

70,585 people fit into Kinnick Stadium.

Subtract about 2,500 for the elites like @Mr. Hawk and me who sit in places where food and drink are included (tavern hoks disgust us) and we'll call it an even 70,000 fans.

Let's assume somewhere around 1/4 of them make at least one transaction with some blue shirts and people drinking going back multiple times. I think 30,000 transactions isn't out of the question here. According to this site, over half of americans round up for charity. Given you have an audience predisposed to wanting to help the hawks and I wouldn't be surprised if that number was as high as 65% for the Swarm.

That's 19,500 transactions per weekend x 7 weekends x 0.50 per round up. That's real money. That'll buy us 2...maybe 3 weeks of Kadyn Proctor's time.

Next up, they will be having ushers go to each section and pass around a basket for donations just like at church.
