I think you could have 40 different WR's and DB's and most of them white or non-black.
Yeah 10 for WR is low. You could have a nice run of just “he was fast but had zero discernible WR skills” before even getting to the white guys

Bashir Yamini
Tim Dodge
Damond Powell
Jerminic Smith
Calvin Davis
Paul Chaney Jr

Tim Dodge was very white. And a very bad corner.

Would the 2002 receiving corp of Hill, Kasper and Ryan Barton be top 5 of the Ferentz era?

2002
2009
2010
2011
2019

2009 and 2010 were pretty top heavy.
2002?? That wasn't Kasper.

Grant Steen had a 3 interception game at Indiana in 2002. Kevin Worthy was worse than he was.

Roger Meyer maybe by default. Jehemiah Hunter was low key average to maybe bad. He played with 10 guys who made the NFL

Other than the shitshow that was the 14 group i think every starting lb since 01 was multiyear and at least an NFL fa.

Lol at tanner miller being on here despite starting like 37 games. At ISU he’d be revered like Anthon “no ints” Johnson .

Sean Draper might have been the starter for 1 game before giving way to Des.

PS i liked to pretend his real name was Doug Raper.

I don’t remember Mike Elgin being bad. Is this just a “least good” sort of thing?

No, we are looking for bad or such a fuck up (like Trey Stross) that they belong.

A few more possibilities

Travis Perry LB - started 2 games in 2013
Nico LAw started 4 games at safety in 2012
Donatell started games both at LB and safety
Shane DiBona started a game at LB in 2010

I'm having a really hard time with RB.

Paki was more of a joke and a place holder. Sam Brownlee filled in like a man. Damon Bullock was a WR that had to switch positions because everyone got hurt. Weisman was a walk-on FB that got thrown into the mix and had some huge games.

We haven't really had any terrible RB's that I can remember other than Greg Garmon.
