Along the offensive line you have to look at the 2007 and 2012 teams after Donnel and Scherff went out. Defensive line was terrible in 2007 and 2012 outside of Mike Daniels in 2011.

We were sitting in the first row just down from the Iowa bench in the 2012 game at Northwestern, Mossbrucker just hung out on the sideline at the edge of the sideline box the entire game. For some reason they brought a backup kicker to a road game to not interact or even come within 10 feet of a teammate the entire game. Strange.

They chose a backup QB (weinke) to punt instead of Kornbrath 14 times in 2012. And he almost had the exact same average distance. That might be the single worst punting season for Iowa.
