Syracuse coach Greg Robinson said today he expects to face a “feisty” Iowa football team at 7 p.m. Saturday in Iowa City.
He said it while praising a standout of Hawkeyes’ defensive line:
“Mitch King, the nose tackle, who’s a very feisty player,” Robinson mentioned during his weekly press conference.
He said it again while talking about other defensive positions:
“Both their inside linebackers and their corners are back,” he said. “They are a feisty defense and going in there and playing at night will be unusual.”
Syracuse opened the season with a 42-12 loss against Washington Friday.
Iowa, which beat the Orange in double overtime last season, beat Northern Illinois 13-3 Saturday.
