Ferentz best pro player

Is Yanda the best pro to have played under Ferentz?

In 9 seasons has graded in top 5 tackles twice and top 5 guards 4 times (twice #1, twice #2) and is at times considered the best OL in the league.

Bob's DPOY puts him up there as well even though it was only for one year. I'm biased though as he's my favorite hawk of the KF era.

Hard to argue Yandas consistency up near the top.

Keep in mind the other 4 positions have been in a state of constant flux. They haven't re-signed a single OL of consequence long-term since he's been there.

Yanda is going in the Hall one day, boyz.

Bob would have been #1 if he could have stayed in the field. Few guys have made a bigger impact but only 50 games over 8 seasons, woof.

Bortz only made two pro bowls. Hilgenberg made 7. So yes, there are a lot of pro bowls between them but Bortz didn't contribute much to that total

It's Yanda by a decent margin, he's been the best interior OL in the NFL for the last 5 years or so. His longevity at the top is unbelievable.

Debating #2 is a lot more interesting. Bob was an elite player, for a very short time. Daniels has stuck around, and is just entering his prime as a Top 5 or so interior DL. It really comes down to longevity versus a shooting star.

That said, Bob Sanders is without a doubt the finest pro Ferentz put in the league. Short tenure or not, he was DPOY and a critical piece on that '07 Super Bowl team. A rare player who bent the game to his favor when he was on the field.
