What an awful, shitty week.

Only 6 people scored points, and only one, @L. Wade Childress was perfect with predicting a Purdue victory and a Petras 0 on the scoreboard. He is highlighted in green. Not only did he regain the lead, he did so in David Bell-like impressive dominance.

The other 5 people, not highlighted or bolded, got either the game prediction or the TD prediction correct. These 6 people scored all 35 points out of the possible 290 for the week.

Congrats to @KitKatApples for digging his way out of the cellar, and moving up in stature.

Kudos to @WCFHawkeye for securing dead last for this game, a title he is hoping to sustain for the rest of the year. He is one of two posters to predict Petras' touchdowns incorrectly every single game. He figures why be mediocre in his prediction knowledge when extreme shittiness will suffice.

Regarding 2 weeks against Wisconsin, there are only 8 of the 29 posters predicting an Iowa victory.

In the Petras' touchdown category against Wisconsin:

0 TD's: 4 people
1 TD: 19 people
2 TD's: 5 people
3 TD's: 1 person

Of the 8 people who predicted an Iowa win, 4 had Petras with 1 touchdown, 3 with 2 touchdowns, and 1 with 3 touchdowns.

Lastly, if it does come down to the tiebreaker, Goodson's 84 yards leave him at 761 yards through 7 games, a pace of 1305 for the 12 game regular season. Here are the standings through the first 7 games, with total points (70 points max possible):

I would have liked to have stayed in the cellar. I also don’t like that there’s a good chance I nailed the Wisconsin game either.

Iowa isn't losing to Wisconsin. Petras may or may not get a touchdown, but I think it is likely he will.

I haven't thrown your shit out of the cellar yet, I knew you would be returning, and hopefully by next week.

Much more concerning is who the resident genius appears to be. Tito's and all. He has the same predictions as you next week. I am hoping he has one of his rare off weeks.

It should be noted, 4 people cannot get the 15 point bonus at the end of the season for predicting the correct record, 25 people still can achieve these bonus points.

These three all had Iowa at 12-0, which is no longer a possibility.

@BngHawk
@Hawk_Kegmasters
@iowa4ever20

@KitKatApples had Iowa finishing at 5-7, which became impossible last week, when The University of Iowa Hawkeyes football team became bowl elgible after beating Penn State. Future spreadsheets of scores will reflect this, but I won't repost those until after Iowa defeats Wisconsin in two weeks.

I thought for sure I would be able to gain ground this week, as I was one of only 8 people to pick Iowa to win.

I was wrong, very wrong.

This once was a fun little diversion in a dream Hawkeye season, in which it seemed almost certainly to lead to Indianapolis in early December. This super great little game has now turned into the main race and standings to focus on.

Of the 21 people who picked Wisconsin to win, 15 also correctly predicted a lone touchdown from Mr. Petras. Hence, over half the contestants got the full 10 points possible for the week. Those 15 are in green. Halo is long, boyz.

Four people got the perfect 0 points for the week, incorrectly predicting an Iowa win and picking more than 1 touchdown. Those 4 are in red.

Mr. @L. Wade Childress, while not perfect for the week, still remains in sole possession of first place. Mr. Childress is the only person of the 29 contestants to correctly pick the outcome each and every week. There are 8 others who had the correct prediction all but a single week.

@WCFHawkeye, while not imperfect, did enough to remain in sole possession of last place. He has now climbed to 25 points for the season, a number that was reached after 3 weeks by 3 separate posters.

It should be noted there were an additional 7 posters who had predicted an 11-1 season. Those 7 are no longer able to collect the 15 bonus points for correctly predicting the end of season record, bringing the total to 11 who have secured a 0 for the bonus. 18 people can still obtain the bonus.

Goodson's 31 total yards put him on pace for 1188 for the season.

Next week, the University of Iowa Hawkeye football team travels to Evanston, Illinois to face the Northwestern Wildcats in a game of American Football. There are 7 participants who are predicting a Northwestern victory, 22 on the Hawkeyes.

In the Petras' touchdown predictions category against Northwestern:

0 TD's: 2 people
1 TD: 12 people
2 TD's: 14 people
3 TD's: 1 person

Here are the standings after 8 games (80 points max possible).

21 people had Iowa winning for the week, and 2 correctly had Peaches earning 0 touchdowns for the week.

Only one person for the week with the perfect 10 score for getting both right, Mr. @Thomas Wolsey, come on down, you are moving up!

7 people with the perfect 0 for the week, and @KitKatApples, welcome back to the basement! @WCFHawkeye kept a light on for you.

@L. Wade Childress continues his assault on the rest of Halo elite, being the only person to correctly predict the right outcome each and every week for the first 9 games.

Week 10, against Minnesota, only 2 people have a Gopher victory. May you both get a big fat zero for the week. Speaking of zero, no one predicted Peaches to get 0 touchdowns against Minnesota, so depending on if he plays, there may not be much movement next week.

Lastly, Goodson's 166 total yards bring him to 958 for the season, on pace for 1277 for the season.

Here are the standings after 9 games (90 points max possible).

A huge congratulations to @KitKatApples for staying with it, and pulling into the sole position of dead last! Although the race isn't over for first, it is over for last place, unless Peaches makes appearances and scores in the last two game. If no Peaches, Mr. Apples will not be relinquishing the lead, as he is no longer bonus elgible, and every poster over the last two weeks is predicting an Iowa victory. So, over the next two weeks, the only changes will be:

  1. If Peaches plays and get scores, some posters will move relative to other posters. If Peaches fails to score the rest of the year, only #2 is in play.
  2. Based on whether Iowa finishes with 8, 9, or 10 wins, some posters will get the 15 point bonus.

If Peaches does play, then a couple posters can still catch KitKat for last.

Mr. @L. Wade Childress continues to remain in first.

The people with the best chance of catching Mr. Childress? Well, if Iowa loses one and only one of the last two games, and Peaches doesn't score a touchdown, then there would be a 5-way tie for first between:

@brantshawks
@L. Wade Childress
@roseboundhawk
@sobrien51
@The Dad

In that scenario, it would come down to tiebreakers. Tyler Goodson's 63 total yards vs. Minnesota has him on pace for 1225 yards for the season.

Here are the standings after 10 games (100 points max possible).

1. @L. Wade Childress 70

Hey, it is @Herky823's game, not mine. I don't make the rules.
You don’t, I shouldn’t. I thought about having everyone’s Peaches numbers roll over to Padilla and I wouldn’t care if people wanted to do that, but honestly I thought this was a nice weekly reminder that he’s not playing

It would have made only a slight difference, for now. Padilla had 0 touchdowns against Northwestern, so nothing changed there. Only 2 people, @Jim and @Callisto had 3 quarterback touchdowns against Minnesota. That would be good enough to move both of them to a tie for second place (along with @The Incredible Hawk), 10 points behind @L. Wade Childress. If, and only if, Padilla got exactly 2 touchdowns each of the next two weeks could all three of them tie L. Wade. There then would be a 4-way tie for 1st, and the tie-breakers would come into play.

Actually, the more I look at it, if Iowa lost a game, then the before mentioned 4 from the standings post could all over-take L. Wade based on various scenarios.

Why did I lead the update post with this? Because Halo did it!

@Herky823 has brought us all together! @Herky823 is our very own Matt Campbell.

This was the greatest together predicting in the history of Halo predictions!

Everyone scored the same! Everyone got a perfect 50%, we were all mediocre together!

Halo is still together next week, with all 29 people predicting an Iowa victory.

No one has Peaches with 0 scores for the week, so if he does not play, it will come down to who gets the 15 bonus points for correctly picking 9 or 10 games correctly. 16 people are still bonus elgible (9 people with 10 wins, 7 people with 9 wins). Two people secured a 0 for the bonus after the Illinois game as they had Iowa 8-4 for the season.

Lastly, with Goodson's 138 yards last week, he has 1159 for the season (105 per game average), or on pace for 1264 yards for the season. If he gets 5 yards more than his weekly average, 110, then he will have 1269 yards for the season, and Mr. @brantshawks would own all tiebreakers!

Here are the standings after 11 games (110 points max possible).
