Iowa did that and they were cold on offense. There are going to be games where they explode on offense and just smoke teams.

Reading through a lot of the post-game stuff, it looks like there were a dozen+ NBA scouts at that game last night. A couple of the college basketball accounts were pumping that they had picked Kris as the breakout player nationally and/or the Big Ten POY

Everyone has just sort of hoped that Kris can be even close to Keegan. As pointed out earlier, the best evaluator of their talent to this point (Kenyon) has said multiple times that Kris is actually the more skilled player. Their advanced stats were nearly identical last year.

Not saying this is going to happen and seems to be impossible, but what if 22-23 Kris actually is better than21-22 Keegan by the end of this year?

Not having bohannon is going to be HUGE this year.

HUGE!!!!!!
Stinky isn't joking here. It's possibly the biggest factor in upper level success for Iowa. Removing him from the floor is going to be such a positive for this team, especially since they have more than enough 3 point shooting.

Same thing with Kris as Keegan. Everything is so effortless and smooth. They don't force anything. You look up halfway through the second and somehow he has 24 and 7 seemingly out of nowhere.

Also, for the first time in forever, Fran played the tightest rotation in his Iowa coaching career. He did it not because it was forced, but because it was the right thing to do. 7 man rotation that was filled with ball handling and length.

There are going to be a lot of games when they go 9 or 10 deep, but bravo to Fran.

Dolph and Bobby stammered about for 5 minutes or so in the pregame discussing the tragedies at UVA and U of Idaho. In the end, they both agreed that violence is a problem and the Covid lockdown probably made people go a little crazy. Mercifully, the Iowa Corn starting lineups forced a change of subject.

Agreed. I hope Garza and Megan Gustafson are getting after it and then the Murrays and Caitlin Clark have things scheduled at a later date.
Yes to the Murrays and Clark. Iowa can already recruit big, white LATFG type players.

Ogundele is clearly a big teddy bear. He's waving to someone he knows.

Ulis's best game. He missed some contested lay ins but he put pressure on the d in doing so. And he converted some. Critically he played great on ball d.

When sandfart isnt hitting hes not contributing much and ulis is looking like he will be the better play on those nights. I like ulis off the bench to ratchet up the d as the starters lose their initial spurt of energy.

Pmac is rebounding better. We all know his flaws but hes a solid big ten player at this point. Like many i share the wish that hed play within himself more. Spot up from 3, dunk in transition, pass otherwise. And crash the glass sometimes instead of running out.

Kris and Tony continue to look elite. Filip looks solid.

Dasonte looks clearly behind ulis from my point of view. Could change as the year goes on but ulis is a lot stronger and a better defender right now. Thats exactly what we need.

Exciting stuff.

Unless you’re finger shooting or a world class twat, you’re not pointing at people with your thumb extended upward.

As far as I know....

What we know about Keegan Murray’s parents
Keegan Murray was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on 19 August 2000. Keegan Murray’s parents are Michelle and Kenyon Murray.

His father, Kenyon, is a former basketball player who, like Keegan, played collegiate basketball for Iowa. His mom, Michelle, was a four-sport athlete in high school and played golf in college.

Keegan’s parents met at the the University of Iowa
, with his dad telling KCRG: “We met each other and it was love at first sight.”

Ha, I guess she played at smaller colleges before she got to Iowa. Close enough. Give her a statue.
