Iowa will be 8-5 and 0-2 in the Big Ten and #50 or so KenPom heading into 2024. #22 offense and #134 (!! holy shit) defense. They need to go at least 11-7 in the rest of their Big Ten games to finish 11-9 and have a shot at the NCAA tournament.

If Fran can make that happen, he deserves coach of the year. It's not happening, doubt they are good enough for the NIT either. Fran resigns at the end of the year and Iowa gets a fresh start.

The greatest Super Chevy Shootout/Hawkeye Challenge game ever contested was Jess Settles Senior year when Iowa beat Detroit (Detroit Mercy?) by 1. Detroit beat Dan Monsons Gonzaga team that went to the elite 8 in the first round. I was the ball boy for that Detroit-Gonzaga tussle.

Luke Reckers junior year Iowa only beat Tulsa by 1 for the title as well.
