Michigan state put up a ton of bricks. But that was the best defensive performance of the year.

One of the only times in Connor's career where he had more turnovers than assists.

But the one assist he did have was probably the prettiest of his career.

Offense is just another level. 127.2, Gonzaga 2nd at 124.3, Baylor 122.6, OSU 122, Villanova 120.9. Everyone else under 120. Per 100 possessions we're 14 points better than #25 in the country.

The gap between us at 113 defensively and #25 is less than 6 points per 100 possessions.
Almost a carbon copy of Missouri 2012....

I only got to watch the last few minutes and watching what I missed now.

Everyone got really down on Iowa after CJ went out ad losing a bunch of coin flip games during a short stretch in the middle of a weird season with the caveat that the defense went to shit for that stretch. Lots of fluky crap happened in a couple of games.

It took a game longer than I thought, but Iowa looks like a team that can see the end of the regular season coming and they have learned how to play without CJ and have taken huge strides on defense the last 2 games.

When the "Fran Fade" actually happened in a couple of seasons, it wasn't really the defense that was the issue, it was the offense that stalled out and they never seemed like they could get it back.

That isn't the case this year. Even when they lost 4 of 5, the offense was still rolling all except for the 12 minute stretch against Indiana.

It is not super likely, but won't be surprised to see Iowa finish 4-1 (or 5-1) if they play the Nebrantska game as well.

Luka is also due for a breakout at some point. He has been going through a bad stretch and that will not continue forever.

Per 247 composite ratings, Michigan State started:

Malik Hall - 4* #61
Marcus Bingham - 4*, #66
Aaron Henry - 3*, #140
Foster Loyer - 4*, #96
Joshua Langford - 5*, #19

Their top 3 guys off the bench:

Gabe Brown - 4*, #101
Joey Hauser - 4*, #52
AJ Hoggard - 4*, #69

How did they get so shitty? I understand that they're not loaded with blue chip guys, but they shouldn't be bad.

Out rebounded MSU by 9.

It still blows my mind that teams like North Carolina, Duke and MSU don’t have any shooters.

Izzo starting (when radio cut in) with Connor, Keegan, and Nunge’s 3pt percentages is the cherry on top of a perfect game. Thanks, Tom.

Loyer was a fucking 4*? I assumed he was a walk on.
