It’s also weird how they perceive the basketball programs. Obviously ISU has had more recent success than Iowa (especially postseason), but I’m convinced that their small man syndrome in football has them thinking they are a basketball blue blood while Iowa is a poverty program. It’s bizarre

They’re wrong about that. Extremely, overwhelmingly, devastatingly wrong. Compared to the costs of servicing the debt required to build the infrastructure and develop the land, they’re never going to make any useful amount of money.

Which is why every dime they’re spending on it is gross fiscal mismanagement, and they should be reserving their dollars (and bonding capacity) for things they actually need and that matter.

But this is why all this money matters. B10 schools can pay the upcoming settlement. They can afford revenue sharing. And they’ll still be able to build facilities.
