Maybe, just maybe, people will start to realize how important Connor is to this team. And Jack was to this team.

Can’t really expect any different of a result when Garza plays like dog shit. He’s going to need to start passing better out of the post when/if he runs into another post player like Dickinson moving forward.
@Gushawk is good with him being out. Smart take.

The tight/rapey defense is not good for Iowa. Their flow was shit. Their passing and assist numbers were shit. Garza was forcing shit. It was a big pile of shit. Wagner showed wieskamp what a first round pick looks like. CJ not shooting in the second half is a weird trend. Nunge being out could really hurt.

Get wins versus wisconsin, Nebrantska and one in the BTT and I feel good about keeping a 3 seed and getting to the sweet 16. From there, anything can happen and it’d be a fun ride, better than any we’ve had in a long fucking time.

That Michigan team is national championship caliber. Everything went wrong for the Hawks, but Iowa wasn't winning that game even with better breaks. Still in great shape to finish the season strong and grab a 2 seed. That loss really doesn't hurt anything.

Michigan has the ability to stay close to CJ, Joe W, and bohannon on the perimeter, and then also has a dude who can make Garza work. That’s not ideal.
Yep, really bad matchup for us. Not many teams like them out there fortunately.

CJ and JoeW have to be having some sort of contest to see who can be more passive.

3 good minutes...then deferring to anyone else who is interested.

Meanwhile, Patrick, the least talented player who plays, shoots every time he touches the ball.
Franz Wagner is what Patrick should be, but isn’t.

ESPN is a bunch of faggots for not putting announcers there in person.

Im most worried about the 12 minute to 8 minute stretch in the first half. Fran is going to throw the usual rotation out there, Michigan goes on a little run to take a 4 point game to a 10ish point game and the rest of the game is basically played at that spread similar to last years game up there.
Ended up happening in the 2nd half rather than the 1st half.

Im not really sure what Patrick is trying to do on his layup attempts. He shoots them like it’s a 12 foot hoop.

I was pretty pissed Iowa didn’t get Michigan at home this season, not anymore yikes, bad matchup for Iowa. Hopefully they can bounce back vs the Buckeyes.

11 minutes left, Wieskamp dunks the ball to make it a 7 point game. Howard calls a timeout. Michigan missed a 3, Iowa rebounds and gives the ball to Ulis. He turns it over near mid court and I’m not exactly sure how.

The next 3 minutes Iowa only gives up 7 points but didn’t score at all. Ulis and Patrick took a couple ill advised shots. Murray took a contested 18 footer early in the shot clock and Garza missed a couple layups. Everything was easy for Michigan after that point because there wasn’t any game pressure at all.

That is the stretch where not having Nunge was a killer.

Should've tried the British fella for a minute or two...just to see...maybe?

Maybe not...I don't know.

Fran's gotta keep it in check postgame. Dolph and Bobby cut the radio interview short because they could tell where he was going with officiating.

Patrick just seem like a mess out there right now. You can see he has potential but it’s tough to watch

Im pretty sure this is what he was upset with. Howard told the ref he thinks Garza travels and the next possession he gets called. Late in the game when it was over and Iowa had their reserves in and Michigan still had their starters in Dickinson was hopping all over and shoving guys with no calls. Fran almost got ejected around the 2 minute mark.

RIght. That was utter bullshit and Fran was livid that the guy who let him do that and listen to him for a minute, then called it soon after. Granted, Luka could have gotten a few travels called on that move this year but he blatantly let Juwan call that for him.

Keeping his starters in up 19 until :50 left when we had our full bench in for 3 is his prerogative but was just like WTF are you doing?

Is there any person anywhere who suggested that? Big difference between that and no difference.
Nunge matters a ton for Iowa.
If he can’t play and they aren’t gonna play josh Iowa’s roster becomes way out of sorts. We’re kinda fucked and Keegan is gonna be forced to play in a lot of tough matchups.

Were Fran and Howard getting into it in the first half? What was that all about?

Yep. Kills us and Michigan is the worst team for it. Illinois would be next but you can at least fuck up Kofi by running doubles at him or hack him. If Nunge is done for the year, we almost have to play primarily zone when Luka sits.

Jumping to conclusions but if it's an ACL, we suddenly are desperate for a grad transfer who can play big minutes also.

I don't think Iowa wins with Connor and Nunge, but it might not snowball like it did either.

I don't want to shit on Pat, but he has a lot of unjustified confidence.
