Idiots on twitter feel that Iowa should be able to lose 60% of their starting lineup and still be a top 20 team because year 10.
That is going to end up being one of the worst things about this. Fran had finally gotten his ideal team that can perfectly execute his offense and play defense on a passable level.

Finally had 4 ball handlers and elite shooters surrounding a dominant and versatile big man.

Now the terrible IowaFan will rear their ugly head when the losses pile up due to losing 3 starters and a key bench player for the season.

Mother fucker.
Next year is going to special and IowaFan will be back on the wagon.

Lol. Anyone mad at Fran over last night has no clue. I hope this team bounces back, but even if they don’t, I will be very excited for year 11 of Fran

One thing I noticed that JoeT needs to work on is getting the ball up the court faster. That might allow him to feed the post before the defense is fully set. Seems like he runs to the inbounder after a made basket instead of heading upcourt and letting the inbounder hit him in stride. Seems like an easy fix that would get Luka more touches and maybe a couple more open looks for JoeW.

One thing about last night is none of those guys quit. In recent years there were some guys that would have packed it in and let that game get away, but this team has some motherfuck on it that won't let that happen.

I mean it’s true but Joe needs to nut up if he ever expects to make it to the league. Mental midget in the form of young Uthoff

Fran went pretty much the first 8 years at Iowa without any major injuries. The last 3 years have all been hurt by injury.

Started off small with Connor missing his freshman year leaving Ellingson/Dailey as PG options. Garza ends up with a 9 pound cyst the next season hindering his development. Cook/Garza both severely sprain their ankles. Now this year hit full fucking blast with everything. Bohannon double hip surgery. Nunge ACL tear. Patrick cancer complications. Fredrick groin and stress reaction. Pemsl surgery recovery and bad back. Random other illnesses.

4 of the top 8 players likely out for the season. Still have roughly 17 games to go in the season and looking at a 7 man rotation at best meaning that guys are going to be forced to play huge minutes and will get worn down and injury risk goes up.

Hey, at least next year there will be 15 scholarship players on the team and Fran can run a 12 player rotation again.
4 years ago Cook and Jok both missed time.

Gesell missed had that foot injury his freshman year that kinda blew that teams chance to make the NCAA. Can’t remember if it was that year or the next when Marble had that weird 3-5 game stretch where he barely played and when he did he was awful. Game at Minnesota that year was buzz’s gf.

But yes, he’s never had a year like this.

I'm mad that he put in Riley Till with a minute left for the first time, and he promptly gave up an easy layup on the press.

That wasn't the first time he was in.

I don't understand why a good shooter like Joe will shy away from shooting when his first shots don't fall but garbage shooters like Kriener keep chucking.

Joe also shot 10 threes while making only one.

It's not like he missed his first three and stopped shooting.

Giving our lineups, minutes distribution, and the defense they were playing Joe needed to shoot 20 three pointers.

"Hey, let me pass up these shots so Kreiner can get his 30 feet from the hoop. Maybe it is time for another Toussaint airball."

Pemsl’s two 3 point bricks when the clock wasn’t running wasn’t enough for him to second guess himself taking a 3 during actual game action. Unreal

The fact that Hobbs goes by Nicholas and not Nico or something else tells you all you need to know

I don’t know, nobody has said. Second or third metatarsal are the most common.
