No, it has to do with signing classes full of 3-star kids who all had decent offers (hell, even Ellingson had one from Mizzou), and all seemed to have potential, and then only one of them panned out (Moss, sort of kind of).I wonder if the poor results of the 2014 and 2015 classes were related to Fran being (understandably) at home more due to Patrick's cancer diagnosis.
personality. goes a long way.FYI, Fran and Alford currently have exact same winning pct while at Iowa
Alford took over a program coming off a Sweet 16 with NBA level talent. Fran came in and had to run off fat Cougs and Cully Payne.FYI, Fran and Alford currently have exact same winning pct while at Iowa
I have no data to back this up but it feels like the Big Ten has also been way better during Fran's tenure. Not really sure what point Stu was trying to make.Alford took over a program coming off a Sweet 16 with NBA level talent. Fran came in and had to run off fat Cougs and Cully Payne.
I was doing the math in my head so buyer beware but in Alfordās tenure the league got 43 bids (out of 88 total chances). So far in Franās, it is 68 of 131.I have no data to back this up but it feels like the Big Ten has also been way better during Fran's tenure. Not really sure what point Stu was trying to make.
I just looked at Kenpom's conference strength formula for all the years he has (back to 1997), and you're actually correct. The Big Ten has on average been relatively a stronger conference during Fran's tenure:I have no data to back this up but it feels like the Big Ten has also been way better during Fran's tenure. FYI Pierre Pierce is the tiebreakerFYI, Fran and Alford currently have exact same winning pct while at Iowa
Not trying to make a point just providing numbers I found interestingI have no data to back this up but it feels like the Big Ten has also been way better during Fran's tenure. Not really sure what point Stu was trying to make.
