How do we know that Brian was ever a viable candidate to be oc anywhere? He does have the same agent as Obrien and Kirk. I have a hard time believing oc is a job at the d1 or nfl level where it's the first time a coach ever called plays. I could b wrong, as Davis shows coaching is the ultimate good ol boyz system

I don't know. Someone younger who can recruit. I'm very wary of Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz, mainly because he has the last name Ferentz, that scares me. I'd take KOK back in a second at this point but I still don't think he was a good OC and we could do better. At the end of the day I'd probably take any warm body over GD. Or a dead person. Or any random inanimate object.

KOK had his moments but was solidly in the bottom half of OCs in FBS. Greg Davis has been solidly in the bottom 10% of FBS OCs throughout his time at Iowa.
