Wait the kid that couldn’t play anymore?
They got a little bit of hope?Iowa is better than Ezra
Aha...it was good.Iowa is better than Ezra
If you take a medical retirement, you can never play again at that school.I’m still confused why he couldn’t stay at Iowa? Because he initially retired and said it was a back injury when it was really mental health and was removed from his athletic scholarship?
Lance Tillison transferred away then decided to come back as a walk on. They must not have wanted him back.
unless they changed the rule, no. Baker Mayfield had to sit.If you transfer as a walk on, does that mean you can play right away?
Obviously, he chose to go to Nebrantska. Guys like that don't belong at IowaI just don’t think Iowa was a good environment for him
That wide receiver from Buffalo that walked on at Iowa had to redshirt last year.unless they changed the rule, no. Baker Mayfield had to sit.
but then again they give waivers a bunch now
he got a year of eligibility back from the big 12I think you get a waiver if you were a walk-on at the school you are leaving. I don't think they care whether you have a scholarship at the new school.
I think Mayfield eventually won his appeal, that was over a B12 rule.
In 2016, they scored 35+ points in five different losses (out of seven). Best defensive effort in a loss was 44.Texas Tech turned Baker Mayfield and Patrick Mahomes into a 24-26 record. That coach was then hired to lead an NFL team.
The random 27-24 2OT win at TCU that year looks really odd lined up with all of their other games. In 2016, they scored 35+ points in five different losses (out of seven). Best defensive effort in a loss was 44.
it’s like Kingsbury was trying to suck on defense.
ughAlso, most of the women's rowing team are not athletes
If there is a season, he’ll have no excuse not to deliver with this team he has. They should be significantly improved and if they have a 2019 Browns-esque season, I don’t know how he hangs on.Texas Tech turned Baker Mayfield and Patrick Mahomes into a 24-26 record. That coach was then hired to lead an NFL team.
Please explain. I don't consider a sport which 75% of the team is added by walking around asking people if they'd like to be on the rowing team, full of athletes. You have no idea how dumb you are
its almost like tempo affects your ability to sustain effort in defense. In 2016, they scored 35+ points in five different losses (out of seven). Best defensive effort in a loss was 44.

It didn't seem to affect the other teams as much.its almost like tempo affects your ability to sustain effort in defense.
fran dudeIt didn't seem to affect the other teams as much.
Watching some of those games was hilarious, embarrassing and sad at the same time. Texas Tech would score and then kick off.In 2016, they scored 35+ points in five different losses (out of seven). Best defensive effort in a loss was 44.

they were only 25th in YPP but were last in FBS in defensive YPPits almost like tempo affects your ability to sustain effort in defense.
Maybe not the guy to handle profanity laced, screaming criticism. Ironically, he committed as a junior and was kind of the ambassador of the 2019 recruiting class. Didn't he make 20+ trips to Iowa City? And enrolled early to boot. Rarely has a recruit been so visibly all in.I just don’t think Iowa was a good environment for him
Mr. and Mrs. Miller's boy.Who is this?

Lol. I loved how DI Hardy sounded more and more Scottish as the series went on.*Milla -Broadchurch Detective
I will go to my grave feeling bad for Jack Marshall. Old man was done wrongLol. I loved how DI Hardy sounded more and more Scottish as the series went on.
It’s arena league football. Has been for a while. That’s why they don’t produce NFL talent like other P5 conferencesWatching some of those games was hilarious, embarrassing and sad at the same time. Texas Tech would score and then kick off.
It would be like a 20 yard pass gain, 9 yard run, 11 yard run, 40 yard post for a touchdown. 4-6 plays, 75 yards and 1:34 time of possession.
Over and over.
Well, to be fair, their skill position players are pretty good. I think you meant the defensive guys, or at least assume you did as the QB's in those games are the MVP / Super Bowl Champ and the Heisman winner and #1 overall NFL Draft pick. It’s arena league football. I didn’t infer that produce NO talent. Simply that they produce fewer NFL prospects per school than any other P5 conference by a pretty decent marginWell, to be fair, their skill position players are pretty good. Listened to the whole thing. It was great. Lomax has been involved with the culture change since it started in 2017. Sounds like they were all too scared to talk to Ferentz because Doyle was clearly #2 and had so much power. He would grade each player in the gym and send them to their position coach. Too much power.Washed Up Walkons had Lomax and James Daniels on this week.
Lomax explained the issues pretty well. Basically said when you’re being recruited you have your recruiting coach, the your position coach and finally Kirk. You’re never really introduced to anyone else. Once you get to campus NCAA rules don’t allow you to interact with them and you’re just thrown to Doyle and the strength coaches without knowing them and from day 1 they just ride your ass. He had heard a story where a guy thought Doyle was being racist so once Doyle starts saying things to you you remember that story and start to feel the same way. It just snowballs through all the black players.
Daniels said he was on a zoom call before the tweet storm and players all the way back into the early 90s apparently said they felt some of the same things while at Iowa.
Ward kinda started calling them out a little bit and they couldn’t really explain what ‘be yourself’ means other than they hated the 80s and 90s rock music that they played during lifts.
I don't know if it quite counts as racismNot playing a rotation of music types suited to team taste in the weight room is just stupid and not conducive to optimal effort or team camaraderie, imo.
Go coach at BYU if rap triggers you to the point of not tolerating it.
