Obviously game states matter, but if you reverse the scoring by half I can't imagine having any complaints. As it was, the first half was ugly but the second half looked pretty good.

Any year that Iowa is truly good, not just 10-2 like last year because of a shitty schedule, they have multiple explosive players that can get easy scores. It's one game against an FCS team, but today I saw at least 3-4 guys on the field that can hit a home run and get a quick score. The defensive pass rush also looked better. Special teams were good.

I was very impressed with the Hawks. The defense looked like the usually do. Wetjen was very slippery and seems to be a very solid return man back there. This is the first time in years there can be legitimate optimism about the offense. That second half was great in nearly every aspect. Once Kaleb Johnson came in, they looked fantastic. Some solid play out of the WR. VanderZee looks like the real deal and Gill was solid. Need to see it next week, but God damn that was fun.
