Any coach that requires custom made school apparel to accommodate his obesity is not welcome on the Iowa sidelines in plain sight.

Somebody threw their seat cushion at Bert last night after the roughing the passer call. Pretty funny watching him waddle around on the sideline to go pick it up. Guy is going to be using a motorized scooter to get around in a year.
Waddle is the right word. I didn’t think Bert was going to make it back to the Illini sideline when he waddled over to the other side of the field to check on one of his injured players and carry the player’s helmet as he was helped off.

I don’t understand our RB situation, though at least all 3 guys seem competent

Two small things (unlike Bert) that were big. Anderson having the wherewithal to jump on the fumble that didn't seem like a fumble. And wetjen finally having a good return on the last scoring drive
Also Wetjen luckily not touching the ball when he chose to jump up with one hand as one of the punts was sailing well over his head was a nice win. It always scares me when a guy clearly isn't processing things fast enough to not be retarded.

Yes, I almost crapped my pants on that one.

The last 4th down play the Hawks knew what they were going to run. Both Higgins and Evans were in the pass lane like volleyball blockers.
Also on the same play, Higgins dragged Castro across like half the field to get him to cover an outside open receiver before running back to his position and then getting in the passing lane. Just a heads up play by a leader out there.

I withdraw my endorsement for Burt to Iowa. Too fat, seems to be expanding by the hour.
This, and especially in the year 2023.

He’s that morbidly obese by choice. He’s rich, basically works at a world class gym every single day and has access to personal trainers / chefs and whatever healthy food he needs on demand.

The guy could do anything from a lap band or Ozempic if he doesn’t want to work out. He can and should lose 150 pounds by next season.

The fact he doesn’t and instead just consumes like the gluttony guy in SE7EN is a leadership failure.
