Why run a reverse with the white guy?

I’d test out the fox sports app now if you haven’t used it recently. I had to delete and download a new one for Roku.
FoxSportsGo is apparently no more. There is a new Fox app for games on certain channels.

Looks like bad news for Alaric Jackson. But on the bright side, maybe good news for Iowa. Kallenberger gets experience and Jackson comes back next year. And Wirfs gets experience at left tackle.

What happened? Just flipped it in and wondered why Kallenberger was playing tackle.

First quarter got rolled up on. Didn't look good. He eventually walked off on his own, but just speculating it could hold him out of games. Hopefully not, but I'm a glass half full guy.

Offensive numbers were good. Would have liked to see a bit more inside routes from WR or TE bodying somebody up.

B+. Would eat at again.

Not bad based on past experiences for a first game.

Secondary was a little disappointing, but Gabbert made nice throws.

And he doesn't have top line speed, but Sargent is tough and can make some plays.

Defense seemed meh... but that could be because of the insane amount of hype around AJ. Loved the running game today.

Miami was doubling him and ran most of their plays away from him.

for a first game, it was very good.
That's where I'm at. There was never a sense that this game was in jeopardy. The cleaned some stuff up at halftime, and dominated in the second half. It's a typical Ferentz opener, but this team has offensive options unlike most years, and I think they can make a run.

If 16/21 256 3/0 is pants shitting then I guess I'll take it.

Some of his passes were really bad though

Also, it is nice to see a competent wide receiver group.

This game was fine other than the Alaric Jackson injury and Nate making a few poor decisions. His end zone shot to Ragaini on 4th and 3 when he had Sargent open in the flat was most disappointing.

I thought it was interesting how many times they fed Goodson, they must like him quite a bit.

Stanley completes 70 percent, takes zero sacks and has 3 TD, 250 and 0 INT and he’s a “pants shitter?” Fuck off with that.

Seemed like a typical Iowa opener.

Defense was blah but I think they'll be good, as they usually are. Thought the slime would be dominant, but expectations!

Really good wr group, maybe the best of the Ferentz era. Stanley is what he is. RBs looked better.

When was the last time Ferentz had a WR group this deep? I would argue it's better -- in terms of numbers -- than 2009 with McNutt/DJK/Stross. They have a lot of options; hopefully Brian can figure it out and make it work.

Other than the intentional grounding play, Stanley was pretty good. Some of you guys need to ease up a little.

When the run game is going, Stanley’s stay line tonight will win a lot of games

The offense looked a lot different than years past with the 3+ WR sets. Not sure what to think with the Jackson injury...ran off the field, was on the bike, then on crutches? Hopefully just precautionary. Don’t know why they’d have him on the bike if they suspected ligament damage.
