Iowa opened at -15 and has moved to -17

70 degrees for the high and scattered showers.

I feel like Purdue is in a buzzkill schedule spot every year.

That seems like a lot particularly for a team that has only averaged 7.5 points the last 2 weeks, and yes I know Purdue's defense is a tad different than the last 2.

The line could be Iowa -25 and it won't be enough. They are going to pound Purdue like a rebound fat chick at 2am.

I learned this week from watching the DVR of the Penn State/Iowa game (I was there, no idea why I wanted to watch again) that OMHR Purdue has the most victories of any opposing team in Kinnick at 20.

That wasn't the answer I was expecting.

I actually guessed it right. My Dad said Michigan or Ohio State but I told him that was far too obvious and they simply hadn't played there enough. Purdue seemed to be the logical answer given how many times they played at Iowa and how good they were in the 60's and 70's while Iowa was terrible.

Minnesota is second with 18 wins but none since 1999. Ohio State and Wisconsin have 16 each. Michigan has 15.

Yeah, it looks like Purdue won 20 in a row in the series from 1961- 1980. Yeesh.

We had a 20 game losing streak to Purdue (1961-1980). No fucking bueno

Fuck-scooped by Vepr who wasn’t even alive for most of that streak.

Jeff Brohm is a very good coach. Given the injuries and expectations thus far in the year, I could see him going in with a fuck it attitude and throwing everything he has at Iowa. I think Purdue covers.

Establish the run to set up a few deep balls, force an early turnover or two, and get a nice lead in the first half. As we’ve seen before, Purdue isn’t a team you want to screw around with.

I still think this is a good Iowa team, but you’ve got to take care of business these next two weeks or things could get ugly.

Is there a reason we got away from those designed QB runs by Stanley that worked pretty well against ISU?

I missed the first half of the Penn State game. Did Iowa run any wide receiver screens?

Probably because ISU sucks and Michigan and Penn St are good?
Yea, huge difference between ISU and PSU/Michigan. The players on the field even look/built differently, especially on the edge.
Then stop calling so many fucking stretch plays out of the gun. The math doesn't work unless the defense has to actually worry about the QB keeping, so you're just starting you RB from a standstill and putting him at a disadvantage for no reason, especially when they don't really build any other sort of misdirection off the defense overplaying the zone.

Iowa will win, but I don't think it will be the lopsided asskicking our team and fanbase needs right now.

That would seem like a lopsided ass kicking at this point

Not the lopsided asskicking that the jogger deserves.

Kirk announced today money had been stolen from the locker room on Sunday. Just what the team needs....

Barta send his letter to the rest of the conference yet to tell them to beware?

According to Pollard they were given instructions on where to keep their money but didn’t listen

Why did they even have money to start with? ISU’s president had to pay full stadium price for a large Diet Coke last time she was in Iowa City, which is pretty much the same.

Hey guys, it’s Williams. After consecutive one-score losses to ranked teams let’s definitely panic about playing a three touchdown underdog at home.

I don't know much about the sagarin ratings, but I'm mystified how they can have Iowa State strength-of-schedule stronger than Iowas up to this point

As long as they don't have Minnesota anywhere but last it all adds up to me.
