The type of person that would start this thread is the same type of person who would be utterly fucking convinced that KENTUCKY FOOTBALL was the new wave of where the game was going with their stupid fucking SWAG and retarded dancing on kick offs and that Kirk Ferentz and Iowa was a shameful thing of the past.

Revolver is young and stupid. If given the chance, he would have turned Iowa Football into a fucking clown show a few years ago.

Oh, and then want to remind people that right after he posted that incredibly stupid shit that Iowa went undefeated and 15 seconds from playing Alabama in the College Football Playoff, played in the Rose Bowl and finished in the Top 10.

I’m frustrated, Doug. I will gladly eat crow if they make some sort of run through the Big Ten. Teams are scoring at the rim at will on us. We aren’t making a lot of shots, and it has been a shitshow thus far. They’ll get better for sure, but I don’t see this being a tournament team like I had thought.

I would like to let the record state that I have limited hysteria related to:

--Brady being Brady and Fran playing him more than Dailey -- dude is worthless playing the way he has so far this year
--Kriener thinking he is way better than he is and constantly being out of position for rebounds because he's hanging out in no man's land
--Pemsl's weight loss not allowing him to be a force inside
--Defense / lack of a backcourt stopper

Iowa will win some head scratchers that they were 10 pt dogs in and then lose some games when facing an aggressive back court that can penetrate. NIT bound most likely, but if they catch some breaks in conference could be on the bubble like last year.

The defense was fine and improved in the first half. They got fucked on the fouls and were still tied on the road.

Anyone counting the second half defense against them tonight is making a mistake as when you shoot 19% (and most of the makes were with about 5 minutes to go) and like 0-15 to start a half no team in the world can play defense and anyone is going to get run out of the gym.

They had a terrible start to the half because a couple players that didn't play much or well in the first half were pressing and too early forced shots that let to run outs. They continued not to make shots and it got worse.

Watching them face better competition in the Caymans and tonight, they have had trouble initiating their offense. It's a struggle to find the open man on double teams, feed the post, and often not swinging the ball around the perimeter fast enough. Wagner and Pemsl have been receiving the ball beyond NBA 3pt range and have been forced to dribble from out there or make a swing pass--those players shouldn't be dribbling and handling the ball that far out.

We have to rely on too many players who are only good on one side of the court to log minutes. Would love to see them shift around that starting lineup a little bit and get Nunge in there. I really hope McCaffery is a lot better than most of us think and that he does not end up a whipping boy on a team that he should not have to be a major part of.
