I think the biggest problem with the Williams/Connor situation is that an already extremely white team just got even whiter.

I had to look and we are down to 4 black guys and 2 half white/half black guys plus 3 coaches.

Next year it goes to possibly 3 black guys and 1 half white/half black guy. 9 white guys likely.

The year after that we might only have 2 black guys and 1 half white/half black guy.

Sorry - in any other context do we not just call them "black guys?"

It appears that I'm definitely in the minority, but I kind of liked what Williams was able to do defensively in short bursts. Maybe my memory is bad, but it seemed like he was able to use his long arms to create some turnovers. Now, it seems like a bad defensive team from last season may actually be worse. With that said, the frontcourt is as deep and skilled as any Iowa has had in recent memory.

I would be shocked if he maintained his three-point shooting percentage this year. We obviously look like a completely different team when he is going 6/8 from three point range each game.

If Connor can in fact play some point with Jordan playing off the ball five minutes per game that would likely help his percentages.
