Looking at the percentage of past #1 NBA picks in the HOF, I'm not sure I would call it a safe prediction.

They're not ever going to be good on defense IMO. That's why it's important to have the big guys in the lane for when they give up penetration.

Finally saw a team that would beat William Jewell, whoohooo. Also saw what happens when you play too many little sisters, eventually you play like one. Turnovers and meh defense.

Last 10 minutes Fran showed his best lineup, Garza Cook Nunge Moss JBo. All underclassmen. 3 years of that lineup. Waves of bigs off the bench if needed. Baer back for conference, Connor only misses 2 conference games.

Retire '79. These guys got 3 shots - help coming for others, but why not this year. Triplets Marble Armstrong Horton had their best season as sophs, fwiw, could happen. Maybe the odd key is the senior leader on the deep bench who's a pretty talented player. Or pretty much the best possible schedule for a regular season run, that or Uhl could be the key.

Don't see em at home again until conference opener. Carver should be rockin.

Connor is on pace to miss almost a third of the season. If our makeshift backup PG situation looks decent this week, I think there is a reasonable argument for holding Connor out this year. However, I have zero confidence in that happening so I am guessing he plays this year.

Another thing, I know they have had this plan in place to play two sports but if it is contributing to his health than it needs to be questioned. I know he his a young kid but there is a lot on his plate in addition to being very serious about academics. I know plenty of people who have come down with mono from pushing themselves way too hard.
