This is a bad basketball team. Iowa's biggest weakness is not being addressed with the incoming class. This is about as down as I've been about the Hawks in a long time.

Especially considering that, again, this is a super young team. It's also pretty obvious that Fran values length more than strength. Aaron White is never going to be built like Tyler Cook.

I do. Obviously the first part is true, but I don't see all that high of a ceiling with a lot of them. Garza and Nunge are interesting, but can we expect much more out of bohannon?

So in the last 5 games he has played a little more than 1 full game + an OT period: he made 1 fucking basket; no fucking 3s (but hey he shot well in like 5 games last year); attempted no FT's; has more TO's than assists; and I'm guessing gave up 110 points defensively. Look no further than this dumpster fire getting 10+ minutes a game to realize where Iowa's issues are.

Well sure, if talking only about some of his turnovers, but you think his open shots not falling has anything to do with what position he is playing?

The problem with DG's argument was that Brady was serviceable for spot minutes last year. He wanted to tar and feather him every time he missed a three. Making shots and keeping defenses somewhat honest mitigated his bad defense last year.

That being said, Brady has been awful this year and isn't making open shots. Now his argument has validity. Tar and feather away.

I think we'd all rather have an athletic wing that could guard and hit open shots.

Yeah I think it can affect it. If you're used to getting your shots one way in an offense and then you switch it up it can affect it.

This could probably be an accurate statement for a lot of teams, but as young and frustrating as this team is, they're really just one solid PG or even a combo guard away from being very competitive in the Big Ten. If course, that guard probably isn't going to show up this year, and next year the league will be better overall. But hopefully Connor can help on offense and move his feet well in the zone on defense, and hopefully Moss and Maishe can come around. We need someone to help with playmaking and take some of the pressure off bohannon. They're both true sophs and maybe the light will go one for one or both of them by the end of the season. Moss has already been a solid contributor in scoring, but we need one or both of those guys to make more of an overall contribution, and help keep Brady where he belongs.
