I think it's insulting to Clark because it's unnecessary, she is excellent at the sport she plays. However unfortunately the argument here is perpetuated by someone who is trying to do so in support of her.

I'm not sure why it's insulting. I would think that being so good that the discussion to even compare her to a male basketball player is quite the accomplishment. I am in no way diminishing what she's done. It's remarkable and I respect her game. She's doing things that most of us have never seen. To even throw her name in the "could she play in the men's game" conversation is impressive if you ask me. Silly, but impressive.
