I'm wonding if the Russian unrest (to put it lightly) will affect some of the top college WBB players decisions? Generally, the Russian women's pro league has been the highest paying in the world. Many of the American stars have historically played in the WNBA and then when that season is over, go to Russia to play and actually make money. I know the WNBA/NBA has been trying to raise pay to address that, but not sure where that is at. If that avenue of professional income is closed, maybe the top echelon of players like Clark will stay in college longer pulling in NIL money?
I think there's zero worry that she'll leave early. Women's college basketball players don't have the same motivations to jump to the pro level like the men typically do. She loves being a Hawkeye and has said that she wants to help take her home state program to the Final Four. She's not going anywhere.
