Helluva game. Sometimes it’s just not your day. I’ve been going to Iowa basketball games since the 70s in the old Fieldhouse and the crowd today, was the best, loudest, most involved crowd I’ve ever seen in IC. Great season for the Hawks. Back at it next year.

45 minutes before game time, and people - many families and small children - were standing court side 2 and 3 deep, wrapping halfway around the court, to take pics and watch the Hawks go though pregame warmups. Pretty amazing and one of the coolest things I’ve seen.

But, unlike Kinnick, it’s not the best place in the world to watch a basketball game.

Well it is hard to be consistent when hurt. McKenna is a very good player. And Gabbie is a 40% shooter from 3pt.

They need to get Gabbie more shots. Part of the problem seems to be that she’s afraid shoot if she’s wide open early in the shot clock.

Yes, as long as Clark can get them open. Look they can have another nice season like this year next year, but unless Clark goes off they don't have the players to beat the top teams. Then again it is women's basketball so there are what five or six teams with a realistic shot at winning it all? I will defer to your expertise on that Clitty.

we went to state I believe my freshman year. Maybe 8th grade.

the next year some of the big girls were basically worthless when they had to run that much.

The post player from algona garrigan is committing to a school tomorrow. Iowa, isu, and a few others are the finalists. I absolutely don't see her lasting in D1

Ive watched her play quite a bit. She sits on the block on offense and plugs up the lane on D. Not much movement at all. I also don't see her on a team that gets up and down the floor. She has great hands and feet. Shes only 6'2. I just don't see her being successful against taller more athletic competition. Sounds like she will be going to ISU.

Meh...not a bad miss for the Hawks, IMHO. They're pretty much set at post for the next several years assuming everyone stays. Czinano is back next year, O'Grady will be a soph. with significant experience, and Goodman will be back from her knee injury and will have 3/4 more years of eligibility.
