Tom Kakert is in the running for the most hideous human being on the planet. Every morning he should wake up and thank god that people in his life have taken his penus.

I've been hearing the same thing
I thought it was all for show, but supposedly he really did plan on coming back and using this year as a platform along with others for NIL and let the cat out of the bag with the bill thing. Then Fran had a sit down with him and made it clear he wanted him to move on with his life.

No idea if that is true completely, but hooray for Fran if he did.

Jordan appears headed down the DJK/Akrum path

I’m really really looking forward to him being gone

I don't want bohannon back. Fran needs to tell him to fuck off. To go further - iowa would have been a better team overall this year if every bohannon minute went to perkins/ulis
I'm guessing it was friendlier than that

Of course he did. Once he stops playing basketball, Jordan bohannon is an afterthought.

He can go to UNI and be relevant on the court for one more year.

He could give a shit less about the court right now. He just wants to be a massive attention whore and be a media spotlight. In his eyes he is probably Ghandi. He would be the biggest cancer and distraction on a team ever.

I think he would be a fine point guard in Ames.

Or let him go fuck up the Badgers roster.

Him and Davidson on the same team would be, well, interesting.

I don't hate bohannon, and Iowa was better with him here than not, but at this point he needs to get as far away from the program and associations with Iowa as possible.

I don't hate him because he was on Iowa. On any other team, probably.

On any other team, absolutely. He was an epic douche, but he was our epic douche. But no more. GTFO and start selling that insurance.

He is a huge douche that is also a way better basketball player than he gets credit for from Iowa Fan.

But I have zero interest in him sticking around for a year using Iowa Basketball as his soapbox.
Right, and the nature of college basketball is getting to see guys come in young, progress into seniors and then move on and have the next group take over.

I'm ready for the unknown of Toussaint and Ulis at PG. It's part of the fun. bohannon for 5 fucking years is enough.

I was hoping last year he wouldn’t redshirt, play out that season and be done. I got ripped apart for it, but I just hated the thought of Touissaint becoming a starter then being relegated back to a bench role this year. Thought it would create a bad sophomore slump.

Also didn’t know Garza would turn into the player he did last year and thought that teams only chance at the NCAA tournament was with bohannon.

That would be fucking rich if iowa loses two likely starters to the transfer portal while Fran struggles to add anyone at a wide open post position.

I don't think CJ is leaving, but who knows these days

E.J. Onu is being mentioned as a potential grad transfer target. He’s 6-11 and from NAIA national champs Shawnee St. He’s going through the NBA draft process but keeping his eligibility—so far.

Not sure what the connection to Iowa would be, though Sherm does have good contacts in Cleveland, where Onu is from.

Obviously tough to judge based on the level of competition in NAIA, but from the link posted Onu looks like a good athlete, above average shot blocker, and hit 46% of his 3’s on 4 attempts per game. That’s impressive. He seems to lack a bit of interior moves/back to the basket skills. Would guess there will be a lot of competition if he returns to college, but that’s a high ceiling kind of guy that would probably work well with what Iowa is returning. But, then again, that’s expecting a lot from a guy who has never played D1 ball.

I’m fine with players transferring but I won’t lie that it will make me less invested in Iowa teams if this stuff happens a lot
