Rebraca shot 36% from 3 on 41 shots last year. He said he wanted to go somewhere that would allow him to expand his perimeter game. Him shooting well from outside would be such a massive development for Iowa’s offense next year.

If the Murrays and Perkins can shoot upper 30s (I think they can) along with this kid, then the floor spacing will be good enough.

Is #32 for South Dakota in the portal? He looks like he could help with rebounding.

I watched part of the 2019 NCAA Tournament in my Belgrade hotel room. CSB, I know. For what it's worth, the Chinese seem to be buying up everything in Serbia.

As it stands today....

Toussaint / Ulis / Connor
Perkins / Sandfort
Keegan / Patrick
Rebraca / Kris
Ogundele / Mulvey

They obviously need one more big man they pull in and another shooter/scorer. I just don't know what you do with Connor at this point.

I know what I would do, but not what Fran would do. I would bring Connor off the bench.

Even with those 10 guys, that is not a bad team and will be a lot better than most think.

Wgaf if he starts, Connor just needs his minutes cut without a low post scorer. He averaged 22 last year which wasn't bad. Get back down to 15-18 and that's going to be his sweet spot unless his shot improves, which I can't see happening for a guy looking at two hip surgeries this off-season.

Is that like how baseball teams bring a guy to pitch only the first inning?

Damn they still need a post in a bad way.

I think we'll see a majority of the lineups without a true post when not playing against a big guy like Dickinson or that ogre from Purdue

From a North Dakota fan on Reddit:

“He rules. Don’t think he was used great this year. If you have a PG who can get him the ball I think he will have a good year

Edit: to expand a bit, he’s not the most athletic guy so I don’t know how he will do defensively in the big 10 but he’s a smart player and better passer than his numbers suggest and a really good post player and rebounder.”

It’s ok. We don’t make defense a priority anyway.

Drank some beers with a kid who doesn’t really like iowa and played against this guy and he seems to think he’s pretty fucking good.

I prefer that as I try and avoid saying Brock as much as possible

So our forwards are going to be better 3 poiint shooters than our guards. Interesting.

I'm just not sure where they're going to replace a billion points from. I know Frans teams have never had problems scoring, but someone(s) are going to need to make a huge jump next year.

I think team will be at least as good offensively as the 16-17 team. Hell that team had a freshman Pemsl as the fourth leading scorer and Baer fifth. They still ranked 43rd offensively in Kenpom. Also, this team should be much much better defensively than that team was.

The offseason has definitely been frustrating, but it will be exciting (at least at first) to watch these new guys spread their wings and make a name for themselves. And to truly see what Keegan has when he's the first option, assuming Weiskamp doesn't return.
