None of them are happening.
That's not a real hard prediction to make, lil birdies aside.

I did get bored and browsed a UNC message board, it's not crazy to think Nickel could end up being SOL if he doesn't commit soon. UNC has the number one class currently and have a few offers to small forwards ranked higher than Nickel.

New offer

Good news is he 65 in the 247 composite.

This is their scouting report, which doesn't sound like the 65th best player in his class.

"Kohler is a very skilled and productive post prospect who has one of the highest floors in the class nationally. He has good hands, outstanding footwork, a soft touch, and can score in a variety of ways from the low and high post or short-corner areas. He also is capable of stretching his range out to the arc at times. He finishes with both hands, has a consistent hook shot, and can face up from midrange. There are some concerns defensively and with his size for the position as Kohler is average athletically and does not have a natural position to defend but his feel and motor should help him long term."

Sounds familiar other than it sounds like he isn’t much of an outside shooter. The last guy worked out great so maybe Kohler could too.

Kohler is up there in ESPN as well.

Given that highlight clips don't show shit, his highlight clips make him look like Garza minus three inches.

Just for record keeping, would Filipowski, Shaw and Nickel all be considered 'monsters.'
Sounds like Iowa (and everyone else) is out on Filipowski. Duke bound.

Before that Duke offer, there was a very good shot at getting him at Iowa. Fuck Scheyer, hope he runs Duke into the ground.

I don't think he's coming to Iowa, but where is this information coming from?

Fran put it a good effort and was right there. Duke offer was too much to overcome

so, assuming they land Dix, it's down to Nickel and Kohler...and then the fallbacks

Iowa isn’t going to get Shaw either. I’ve always gotten the impression that Nickel is the guy they have the best shot with. As long as UNC doesn’t make him a top priority, it sounds like Iowa has as good a shot as anyone.

Is the assumption 4, I was under the impression it was likely 3. But I can't count.

As long as Franny has a kid on the team there is zero risk in oversigning. In the rare occasion no one leaves (for any school not just Iowa) and they have an extra recruit he could pull a McCaffrey off scholarship. But the likelihood is almost zero

And by pull a mccaffery off a scholarship you mean telling Connor to quit right?
