Fran had a good defense when Woodbury was protecting the paint. But I generally agree the coaching is bad, it takes someone with a boatload of natural defensive talent in the paint to offset whatever the hell they're doing on defense.

In fairness to Fran’s hyperbole, that Rutgers team was very talented, made the tournament and were closer to going to the Sweet Sixteen than Fran. Blew a late 9 point lead to eventual Final Four Houston in the 2nd round.
