Connor and Pat were basically diametric opposites in the talent / effort ratio.

Right. That's a huge focus of that episode. People wrote down what happened the day after 9/11. Then again in a year, 3, 5 and 10 or something like that. Their stories had some wildly different facts each time, but everyone was convinced they were right. When shown the hand written and signed account of the day they filled out just 24 hours later that contradicts a lot of what they said, the people are convinced they must have been in shock and that now, 10 years removed, they have it correct.

Still a little concerned about front court depth. Freeman tended to pick up dumb first half fouls and earn himself a first half foul out next to Fran. You’re then relying on Tadjo, Traore, Dembele, (those are not 3 last names you usually associate with Iowa basketball) Brauns and Mulvey to do something.

(I never saw a single high school or AAU highlight of Connors or Patrick’s where I was excited about their future at Iowa. Their rankings never made sense.)
