The truth is somewhere in the middle. There are definitely Iowa wbb fans who think Iowa is well positioned for continued F4 runs. In their defense, I think a lot of these people are fairly new fans and don’t really get it. But there are absolutely people who think Iowa should pour the NIL money into the women’s program because they feel national championships are attainable

What are the factors suggesting that things are headed in the wrong direction? $$$ is going to be the only factor going forward in college sports. Filling the arena and having the most viewers on television of any team - is that going to mean more or less money? Even without Clark I still talk to a lot of people in Minnesota who are watching Iowa Women's Basketball and will continue. The crowds may not be the same as with 22, but still there is certainly more interest than 99% of the other programs. There looked to be about 500 Hawkeyes out to watch Iowa play in Seattle on a week night. May not seem like a lot, but still better than any other road team.
