I’ve probably told this story 10 times on here but I don’t care I’m telling it again.

There was a kid that graduated a year ahead of me in high school that walked on at Iowa. He was a pretty meh high school QB and had zero chance of ever seeing the field. Well his freshman year, he was asked to be the scout team punt returner….

This was a time when there was still quite a bit of tackling during practice. This guys job was to field punts while Bob Sanders was the gunner…Bob had 1 speed and this guy got to experience it multiple times a practice.
