Not a great 3 point shooter but the athleticism is there.
From what little I have seen, his form looks good at least. I think he could develop and be a taller, better shooting version of Howard. Athletic versatile defender who can create a bit.

McCollum has been in contact with him/his representation all year in case McDermott would leave.

Unless a random offer out of nowhere comes in I’d say he’s likely to end up in Iowa City. They knew McDermott was retiring this year or next year no matter what and he’s known Huss was going to be the next coach the entire time. He doesn’t make this decision unless he’s going somewhere else and McCollum wants him more than anyone at the moment.

Is it just me or does it seem like the talent in Iowa high school ball has been a little down the past couple years?
4 of the top 7 this year are Iowa United Prep players, which really doesn’t count, including some 7’1 kid going to Houston. Then 2 white boys from Waukee NW and Coons.

Looking ahead the next couple classes, the only legitimate in-state kids are also United Prep.

I know quite a few folks in CF and it sounds like they feel their run is coming to an end soon. Supposedly there’s just not much in the pipeline coming up.

Same thing with the DSM burbs…just not anyone that jumps off the page in terms of height or athleticism that’s can’t miss high major kid.

who knows, maybe the combined Waterloo school can bring back the glory days up there.

seems like iowa generally has about 2 high majors in a class. this year slightly over that and last year was right at 2. seems to be par for the course

Unless I missed that he is reclassifying, he's class of 2027. With no insider knowledge I would assume he would follow Coach Pizzaburger if he left ISU
yeah I know he’s 2027 you just don’t see many die hard clones from Eastern Iowa

They are not die hard clones but Fran really messed that one up and that ship has sailed for Iowa even with the coaching change. If Otz were to move on I’m pretty sure he would follow him if given the opportunity
