Brown reminds me a lot of Petras. Heck reminds me a lot of padilla. But who will be are new Bacon.
Appreciate the uplifting contributions on the week leading up to my favorite time of year, Jim, you fucking knob

We are going to need other QBs to get some reps. I like Heck but he likes to run a bit and isn't very big. At some point he's going to get drilled and we will need a replacement who doesn't completely suck
Sullivan seems like a more natural fit for that role than Brown

Yes, he’s not yet choked multiple times under the lights and by all accounts has made a lot of progress since last season.

A big part of solving any major problem is to stop wasting time on things with a low probability of contributing to success.

Sullivan seems to have made a nice jump from his first year of practice to now and has at minimum the baseline physical tools. He also has had the same OC since getting to college.

I agree. Apparently, a group of professionals who get paid to assess the performance of college football players, seem to think Hank has at least a chance of being successful.

Since you appear to be the President of the Anointed Starter Fan Club, you two should probably meet up at Valley West and fight it out.
Great song.

I am a fan of Heck starting, that's fo sho.

Everything we've been shown suggests Hank is not good. Give reps to the guys who still have a chance to possibly be good.

I've highlighted the key word here.

Look, Hank might suck. I'm all for giving younger guys a shot. But we're doing what we always do - making a harsh assessment based on a very limited set of data and completely dismissing the knowledge and expertise of the coaching staff. Now, I know what the next points are going to be....Kirk sucks at assessing quarterbacks. Maybe so. But that doesn't necessarily mean you or Gus or the Dad is better at assessing quarterbacks. None of y'all are at practice. That's a significant data set you aren't seeing. Plus, Lester is there and we should all give him the benefit of the doubt.

Anyway, who cares. It's game week and I have a halfie already.

All you can do is assess what has been publicly shown. Guy is a 4th year QB. If he's not good now, he's likely not good.

You absolutely do not know this.

yes, it was. Kirk is under zero pressure to win games. He can make whatever program decisions he wants with zero repercussions. He’s accountable to no one.
And why do you think he has that sort of leeway and power?

C'mon, you can do it. You're almost there.

If only we had some examples in other industries of power hungry incumbents staying in power way too long

Just because you don’t understand doesn’t mean I’m moving the goal posts.
Oh, I completely understand that you love to argue in bad faith. Answer the question about Kirk Ferentz. Why do you think he has such leeway? Why do you think he has such power?

Lol, I am moving the goal post because I won’t answer your questions? That’s not how arguing works.

Kirk has a massive, rich contract they will pay him a shitload of money if he gets fired. Thats why he has zero pressure.

Yes, that's why you move the goal post. Because you don't want to answer certain questions and reveal your stupidity. Okay, now answer this question. Why did Kirk get offered such a lucrative deal? Again, you're so close to getting there.

I'm sure that he feels zero pressure to win games with 70,000 fans screaming at him when things aren't going well.
He knows what he's saying is stupid. He just doesn't want to come out and admit it.

This statement exposes your personal mindset and that you can't seem to understand other people may operate with an entirely different set of guiding principles than you. Some people take pride in what they do, regardless of financial compensation packages. They will continue to work as hard as possible because other people depend on those outcomes for job security as well.

Almost sounds like someone who was coddled and handed everything and never had to be accountable for anything and developed an underlying entitlement that he projects onto everyone else.

His and Wade’s boy Garta was terrified of losing and needing to replace him 😉?

He's been like this ever since his boyfriend Garta was fired. He hasn't been able to recover from it. Then to make matters worse his other boyfriend Darian Devries went to Indiana instead of Iowa which sent him into a spiral. Not sure if he has the ability to ever come out of it.

I love Kirk, and my only quibbles with him relate to what he’s left on the table beyond his already significant and acceptable success out of loyalty certain limited or incompetent incumbents (primarily at OC and QB) and lack of offensive creativity and aggressiveness. And, for the morons, no that doesn’t mean I want him to run a spread, air raid or similar schemes that are ill-suited to our realistic take talent base and weather.
