Iowa hasnt had a legitimate NFL QB in my lifetime. Holding that against Banks seems harsh. Banks was small and somewhat inaccurate, but he added a playmaking element that had Iowa’s offense humming in a way that it hasn’t since under KF. If that team had a defense similar to those we’ve seen of late, holy fucking shit would have it been glorious.

That 2011 offense actually had quite a few weapons, they just were inexperienced up front other than Reiff.

Those '08 and '09 recruiting classes cursed the program for years, sometimes because of the immediate talent void and sometimes just because they couldn't redshirt players (T Smith, Ott, Meier, Bullock) they would like to have redshirted.
