Just wanted to throw another name out there. What do you guys think of Brad Stevens? He has coached Butler to an 84-14 record there, with three straight NCAA Tournament appearances.

Call me gunshy, but I would hope he is no higher Candidate #35 on Barta's list.

I really like the guy. That Butler program has had a lot of success lately. If Stevens could take some of the strategies that have made Butler so successful and implement them at Iowa, I think he could build a solid program. Let's get the guy, and have him start a new tradition here. "The Iowa Way", if you will.

Why would you say that? He has proven to be a successful coach at the D1 level.

Didn't we just finish a 3-yr experiment with "successful D1 coach bringing in 'The Butler Way'"?

I know just because Lick failed doesn't mean Stevens will, but I would hope we look many places before back to BU's current coach.
