He is completing 80.4% of his passes.

Sanders — whose No. 4 Panthers (3-0) play at 4 p.m. Saturday at Drake — is rarely caught off-balance.

His career completion rate of 68.6 percent places him on target to finish his purple and gold days as the most accurate passer in the history of the Football Championship Subdivision, formerly known as Division I-AA.

Dave Dickenson of Montana completed 67.3 percent of his passes from 1992-95.

Sanders also leads all 200 players nationally listed in the most recent NCAA passing efficiency ratings — including Oklahoma's Sam Bradford (79.73%), Hawaii's Colt Brennan (77.44), Texas Tech's Graham Harrell (75.0) and Florida's Tim Tebow (73.77).[/i]
