I like that Ben is still giving plenty of guys good chances to play. Seems like he knows what he would do if it was a huge situation, but is just tinkering for now while he can. And I actually like what I see out of a lot of these guys. They make mistakes of course but also show a fair amount of upside. I’m enjoying this.

Really hate to say it but they're missing someone like fartman jr. I thought Hausen would fill that shooting void but as we've seen he isn't what we envisioned so far. Outside of stirtz, really only Koch and Hausen are shooters. Maybe Sage?

I'm more optimistic about Ben getting his kind of pg than Fran managed to do. Fran looked for athletic, offense-minded guards and chased after the Tum Tums and Tyler Ulises and got what he got instead. Ben needs a really smart kid who has strong fundamentals who might be under the radar. Stirz is your one in a million -- from one star to NBA prospect. That's not going to happen again. But I'd wager that Ben can get his kind of pg to come to Iowa more than Fran could.

We'll see what kind of pg and wing he can bring in. Until then, enjoy this year.

Don’t shoot 3’s when you can get to the rim every other possession. Not going to be able to do that every night in the Big Ten and you’ll need to hit shots but I love the approach. 50 points in the paint and 20 from the line. 26-40 from 2.

Alvaro was 45-109 from 3 last year and he’s 4-9 so far. Him and Stirtz will be the two most prominent. Hausen has been concerning because we need his shot. Needs to get back into shape and improve his defense at least marginally so he can get more minutes.
