ISU’s three point % would actually be worse if Kalscheur’s 1 - 7 was excluded.

Many bricks were laid.

So you’re saying Gabe Kalcheur was one of the best 3-point shooters for ISU last night…at 1-7? Seems unpossible…

We have all had our issues with Fran at times, but there is absolutely no denying that he was a Godsend to this program at the lowest point of my lifetime, maybe ever. Going into Carver as a coed during the The Criminal era and just sitting court side because there was absolutely no one there. When we had to cancel the fucking Amana Classic because Lick couldn't win it.

Reggie Theus, Tom Crean, Dana Altman, Rick Majerus at Panchero's. Instead, it was "Let's Be Mad Again". It did not take all that long for us to be "mad again" and we have been "mad" ever since. 500 wins and over half of them at Iowa. He beats down Iowa State mercilessly for that milestone in front of the Portal Recruits.

What a hire. What a coach. What a program he has built. He's not the best coach in the country, but he is damn good. Cheers to Fran and hopefully 500 more. Hawk Hawk Hawk.

That was a real damn good Iowa night. Fran has had some shaky times, but we are Danny lucky to have him.

That was a clinic on how to dismantle that kind of grab-and-trap team. An absolute clinic, Carver as good as it gets, and a bunch of recruits. Let’s get that man a deep tournament run.

My favorite part of the game is when we turned it over 17 times in a row but I didn’t even give a shit because I’ve never seen a team suck so bad offensively as this shitty Iowa St team.

That’s going to be a fun brand of basketball for them to watch for the next 9 years.
My favorite part was when connor just stood there and stared at the guy taking a 3 rather than closing out. That was awfully cocky in a subtle way and it was an absolute brick.

I think my favorite Cyclone coping mechanism is the “Iowa has more Iowa recruits who grew up with the rivalry so they put more into it”.

I could watch that Archie free throw 100 times and never be tired of it.

My favorite part might be him working on his motion after missing the rim by six feet.

He may have been trying to shoot with a separated shoulder. That would be one explanation.

Did you go to the same community college as NLP? Knowing how to spell Ahron's name by now should be a tick box.
When that fucker stops turning it over so much I’ll tattoo the correct spelling on my hand.

I am just fucking SHOCKED that the geniuses predicting this below are the same ones douching it up in the transfer portal and football threads with constant negativity. SHOCKED.
Dougie, I’m just glad you’re still reading my posts. Was worried you had me blocked. I’ll sleep better knowing the truth big guy.

To be fair he’s been on the other side of that a good number of times so he really knew how to make it look good

6 turnovers from Ulis. Really the only worrisome thing from last night. He tries to do too much.

Patrick played a good offensive game, imo. Just play like that and rebound some more and I will be happy.

I know it sucks, and trust me, I'm going to pay the price for it as much as anyone at work and in my personal life.

But TJ cares. He gets it. TJ spoke to this in the postgame. I needed to hear it, and maybe you do too. TJ apologized to all of us who care about ISU basketball and this rivalry. For their lack of effort, for not showing up, for getting outworked. He promised it would never happen again. I, for one, will take take him at his word.

It sucks to have to wear this one as much as it possibly could. The toll will be immense and painful. But I do think this team will be better for it. Our program will be better for it. Our culture will be better for it.

TJ gets it. When's the last time our head coach would comment on how the fans feel about a game like this... maybe Johnny Orr? (Whose teams would and have done the same thing many times on the road)

Fred wouldn't apologize to you... Larry wouldn't give a **** what you think. Tim Floyd might say it, but he wouldn't mean it with one foot out the door. etc.

I say let the worst basketball fanbase in America say what they want to say. They don't know ****. They are ****. Hold your head high. WE WILL rally the troops, WE WILL circle the wagons, WE WILL re-focus and grow. WE WILL hang another banner while eiu fades and chokes, AGAIN.

We suffered a humiliating defeat tonight, no doubt. But it's not even debatable who is winning the war. And it's because of fans, loyal sons, like you. Don't ever back down from that position. Don't ever regret that passion. Don't ever minimize the part you play in it.

At Iowa State we will fight for our place in the sun, in the face of ANY adversity, against any and all odds. We will never give up, we will never back down, we will never surrender. We aren't going anywhere. No matter what.
Never change, ISU fan.

PS hilarious detail of the Klascheur clip is how long he watches the shot/holds his pose. Had that thing reached parallel to the rim it would have been several feet left. How can you not immediately know your shot is wildly off?

That was amazing. As I was reading it, I couldn’t decide if it was real or extremely sarcastic. Wow. It reminds me of the guy in my golf league a couple years ago telling us over post round beers that ISU was going undefeated in football and making the playoffs. He also thought they had a shot to WIN! I laughed in his face thinking he was kidding. He got suuuper pissed. Started spouting all these hypothetical cases. It blew my mind. 2021 season and they went 7-6. IowaFan can be bad, but they will never be this bad.
