Stirtz hit that 3 to put Iowa up 14. They then allowed an easy 3 early in the next NW possession that they made to cut it back to 11. That was followed by a couple bad offensive possessions by Howard.

That stretch took what should have been an easy win into a white knuckle ride.

Iowa also should have allowed Marinelli to catch the ball anytime he wanted on the left block. He was horrible going into Koch from that side and almost ended up getting the ball stuck between the rim and backboard a couple times.

Koch was really good defensively on Martinelli. Almost shockingly so. Live, it looked like he got called for a couple phantom fouls too.
