I am finding it difficult to buy in to the idea that Iowa is the best team in WBB this season. Anyone else feeling this way? Just seems like it wasn't that long ago, the narrative was that CCs supporting cast wasn't good enough, Bluder had failed miserably in the portal over the offseason etc and this year's team was worse than last years etc. Even several Iowa fans I know personally had Iowa bowing out in the Elite 8, some as early as the Sweet 16. So what gives? Are they just that hot right now, is the rest of the sport just that down, or is it the media hype machine propping them up?
