It was clear to me early in the season that Bowen wasn’t going to contribute much this year. I do find it amusing that Fran still gives him a chance for a couple minutes every first half to see if he isn’t going to be a huge liability on both ends. It took all of about 5 seconds after entering the game for him to be late on a rotation that led to a standstill three.

Dix is going to be good though.

Murray scored 3 points in the 2nd half, rebraca looked dead tired the last 8 minutes of the game, he played 38 minutes and needs more breaks to be effective, fran has to find a few big man minutes here and there from mulvey or sugar tits(what is his status)? tonight it was glaringly obvious we need one more power forward or center to spell rebraca, a 12th or 13th scholarship big would have been useful, just any big body that can defend without fucking up on offense.

Ulis and perkins had 3 assists and 8 turnovers. Two games in a row they are upside down on assist to turnover ratio, that is hard to overcome on the road when shots arent falling, sandfort was immediately pulled in the 1st half after his second foul and didnt pick up his 3rd until the last msu possession of the game.

This sitting the rest of the half policy is nonsense under all circumstances and even more senseless to continue
to do it at iowa under frans defensive system where everyone rarely fouls, dix and sandfort played 20 combined minutes, that is a tough tough loss.

His trajectory is going the wrong way and continues to make the game uglier to compensate.

The Iowa Michigan game a couple weeks ago was a great example of all around good basketball. Last night was just silly and dumb. I know people hate on the NBA, but watching a college basketball game and then an NBA game is just comical, and not just because of the talent difference. It's better in every possible way.

It's crazy that we are having this conversation after years of 11 man rotations. Ulis does not need anymore than 20-25 minutes. I'd rather watch this team fail with bad Sandfart getting 25-30 minutes. This team isn't doing anything significant without him playing decent minutes so you might as well ride with him.

Exactly. His teams earlier on were more talented and actually tried to push the pace. Sure they were also physical, but didn’t overly rely on hacking and you at least knew you were watching a good team.

He was top 100 at the end of his junior year. He had an injury that summer and didn't play as much AAU as he would have, and dropped in the rankings as a result.

He needs to put on some muscle (good luck in this program doing that). Still, I think he'll be pretty good as a jr.
