What vibe did Steppe and Kakert give off?
steppe said on his last podcast that Kirk would not proactively initiate Brian’s departure - only way it happens is if Brian voluntarily looks for and finds another job he wants.

BriDawg will be back, sources have confirmed.

Just relax and let it happen.

Seeing Cade M walk unassisted down the Carver tunnel to the elite booster clubs leads me to believe, once and for all and despite all previous inconceivable outrages, Ol’ Spence has taken his last snap as a Hawk, delayed or otherwise.

Kirk knows he has to make significant changes or the media/fanbase will go crazy.

I could see a scenario where he defines significant changes being schemes rather than personnel....the offense changes but the coordinator remains the same.

Brian is aware of ruining Kirk’s legacy, he doesn’t want to do that.

Spencedawg is a proven commodity for Kurt and Bri.

Expect him to be slinging it game 1, per sources.

From Doch’s latest mailbag. Fucking gross.

When it comes to Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz, I’m not totally sure if he’s going to stay or go. He’s not leaving before the bowl game, and I’ve heard conflicting reports about his future…

There was a ton of smoke about Josh Gattis running the offense, but that’s not going to happen. The most likely scenario is for current analyst Jon Budmayr to shift to quarterbacks coach and take on offensive coordinator responsibilities. Budmayr was the former offensive coordinator at Colorado State and quarterbacks coach at Wisconsin.

So, no significant changes for the offense. Great.

In Budmayr’s three seasons as Wisconsin QB coach, UW finished #81, #23, and #85 in QB rating. In his season as OC, Colorado State finished #79 in YPP. His main qualifications appear to be: 1) already has an office and 2) has a different last name than Ferentz

that feels like a “look, we did something!” move without actually doing anything.

Which we’ve established will result in a 30 day ban for Doug

I’m hearing it’s associate head coach/head coach in waiting, BriDawg.

Coaching is an odd profession where you can be demonstrably terrible at your job but keep getting hired. It’s not even confined to a specific sport. You see failed coaching retreads in every league. And success or lack thereof is quantifiable - especially for an OC. What would have led Iowa to hire this Budmayr turd to begin with?

That would be a terrible move, therefore the most likely scenario.

He’s only 31 and currently an analyst. The hire itself was fine, bumping him to QB coach only would be okay. Falling up from Colorado State OC to B10 OC makes no sense.

To be fair, those results are probably all Iowa needs to level up

Nobody is worse at retread than the NFL.
