He did not like the “have you considered stepping down” question.

He’s going to have to be removed and he never will be.

also:

Q: “What’s the downside of putting padilla in”
BF: “what would be the upside?”

Lol. What a fucking dumbass.
Fuck Kirk. Fuck Brian. I will be relieved when this era is over

His mobility would help your failing offensive line and allow you to use the rollout packages that are in the playbook. His increased accuracy on short throws allows you to get the ball into playmakers hands faster which helps your failing offensive line.

There. What a fucking shitty answer.

Q. What do you think is the root cause of your issues on offense?

A. Well the reality is we don't have a root cause. We have to look at everything. It's a matter of going back to the basics. That sounds easy but it's not always easy. In truth what you need to do is execute on early downs in order to have manageable situations on third down. But when you don't have those things happen you need to be able to react. And you know, our job as an offense is to score points. And to score touchdowns. And the truth of the matter is we're not doing that consistently enough. When you're on offense you need to posses the ball and come away with points. And avoid turnovers. Every turnover we got this year gave the other team the ball when we expected to have it. It's an issue at the end of the day. And when the ball was turned over like that it gives the other team an opportunity to score points when we were looking to score points ourselves. Again, that might sound basic, but in truth that's what all of us have to focus on. And not just me, but all of the coaches and staff and players in this building. But certainly me specifically as well.

I'm starting to think KF is going to go to walk away after this season.
If the Brian situation continues to implode, Kirk will step down to end things, before he would ever insult Brian with a demotion or firing.

The “root cause” answer is really, really damning. If you don’t know, as the accountable leader, the root cause(s) of a complete meltdown, then you haven’t accompanied the first essential task toward identifying solutions. You’re just running your ass out there and hoping for a miracle.

Brian is very good at saying very long sentences that sound informed but mean essentially nothing.
I’m great at that also. I can also be offensive coordinator for half the money while putting Dejean in at QB and bringing back the wishbone

Since this apparently wasn't obvious I didn't quote Brian on that post a page ago. I mean, it sort of covers what he said at the 2:00 mark but I was definitely making fun of him. It's embarrassing on his behalf that it was believable but I made up the paragraph like 3-4 minutes after I listened to it.

I feel like at this point in the season it is what it is. Everything sucks and coaches give non-answers. Do you guys get more mad with each press conference?

Will season ticket renewals completely fall off if it's announced at season end that they're both coming back?

Right? I mean, Iowa football is an unwatchable, unenjoyable mess right now, so why do you guys put yourselves through this? You don't watch TV or movies you don't enjoy, so why watch football - even from your favorite team - that you don't enjoy? Turn off the fucking TV and do something else or at the very least, watch any of the other games that are available at the same time. I know that the press conferences, articles, and general chatter will only frustrate me and piss me off. I don't want to be frustrated and pissed off, especially when it's easily avoidable, so I try not to pay any attention to it.
